Comfort Colors

My comfort colors have always been black, bronze and earth tones. I wanted to make another example for the class I am teaching on Bead Cruise 2007. The center is a vintage crystal. The challenge was deciding what technique I wanted to use to make it stand out as the focal piece for the center of the necklace. After capturing the crystal in a beaded bezel the solution was a ruffle edging. The ruffles drape over the leaves bringing the design to completion.
