Charmed by a Water Meter
These copper charms are a replica of the New Orleans water meter covers you will find still in use today around New Orleans. The original water meter box cover was created by the Ford Meter Box Company. Here is my little spin on a pair of copper water meter box cover earrings.
I dressed them up with 8mm copper crystals.
Try as I might I can't seem to catch up with the things I needed to get done this week. My thoughts have been with my family. My Aunt Marie is recovering from surgery tonight after 12 long hours in the operating room removing cancer from her jaw bone and reconstruction. I am so thankful to God that he has gotten her through today. The days ahead will not be easy for her. She will be surrounded by family during her recovery supporting her with love and care.
My good news this week is baby Dane came home from the hospital. I have new pictures to put up tomorrow. It 's time for me to call it night again. I have an early morning appointment I can't be late for.

The watermeter earrings are great - love them. I am sorry you are having family issues lately but nothing is more important than family. I will say a special prayer for your Aunt today - my mother's name is Marie, she is 90 and in a nursing home in PA. Hang in there - and good news about baby Dane!
I love those water meters too. I'm sorry your aunt is going through surgery; she's in my prayers. *hugs*
Sistren NEB,
I am lifting your Aunt Marie and baby Dane in prayer! Surround them both with a network of prayer, healing light and family love.
Great earrings! I am learning to appreci-love copper more each day.
Bless Up,
Lady Roots
