Waking Thoughts

My first conscious thought as I was waking up yesterday morning.
"The water is darker than the coffee"

The Gulf Oil spill is taking it's toll on all of us.
Keeping watch for hurricanes has me on edge.

Today I am going to find peace in beading.

I completely feel your pain, Bevvie! While I'm in Texas and not in the direct path of the spill, I worry so much every time a new storm pops up in the Gulf.

There are SO many people on the Gulf coast who have taken SO many hits from so many directions over the past few years, that this additional blow makes me ill...

And, on top of that, you know how much I love the critters in the ocean...I worry about the damage to the ocean, the ecosystem, and to fragile animals who may never recover...

It sometimes makes me too sad to even think about it...

Katie I have cried a lot of tears. This morning the air was heavy and thick. You could spell the oil in the air. Just days ago tar balls were found in Lake Pontchartrain. Hearing that was too much.

I hope you find some peace while beading. Every time I listen to the news, I feel so heartsick. It is such a catastrophe...
