A Very Sick Puppy

I have a very sick puppy in my hands. I found Cricket huddled in the corner this morning shaking. I called the vet and they took him right in. It was so hard to leave him behind while they took x-rays and did blood work. The x-rays showed he has bladder stones. This was his second trip to the vet in less than a week. I brought him home this afternoon with pain medication. He is laying on the couch covered with his blue blanket. My heart is breaking. I know I will do whatever it takes to get my little boy back on his feet if surgery is required.

So sorry to hear Cricket isn't well - it is so heartwrenching to see them suffer and not be able to help. Hoping he will be better soon!!

Hi Bev,
My little Yorkie boy had bladder stones! His urine was bloody from them and he was miserable. I asked around and found a very very good and thorough vet who operated. He gave me some of the stones to feel how rough they are and they are really sharp and rough. My little Rocky was so much better after that and no reoccurance so far - that was 3 years ago. I understand! Blessings to you and Cricket.

oh Beverly, I'm so sorry about Cricket's bladder stones. Lindi, our little MiniSchnauzer had bladder stones -- 40 of them! There were 4-5 that were about the size of large chickpeas. No wonder she was miserable. Once they are gone, Cricket will be MUCH better, but the recovery is going to take a while.

Doggy prayers coming your way,
Emanda

I saw Cricket's x-rays and he had quite a cluster of stones. Tomorrow we should have the test results back so they start treatment or plan surgery.
Thanks much for stopping by and wishing Cricket well.
