You say it's yours Birthday
How in the world has time flown by so quickly?. We are already heading into the first week of September. For many this is the last weekend of summer before the new school year is begins. Here school has been in session for a couple of weeks.
This year was the first in four years that we were not running away from a hurricane. Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans on August 29th, 2005. That was the year I turned 50. Finally the devastation, the sorrow, the pain and the suffering from that catastrophic event is put in a place where I can live with it.
This year I celebrated my birthday with my friends. We went to a bead show and out to lunch. I picked up some vintage bronze wire and few beads.
Later that evening my neighboors from across the way knocked on my door. The whole family stood in the hallway and sang happy birthday. They gave me a wonderful plant to go along with the birthday wishes.
I felt truly blessed to celebrate my birthday with such wonderful friends. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post. Another present arrived in the mail today from my sister Rosanne. It is a beauty!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Happy Birthday!
Thank you for the birthday wishes. It was a really great day.
Many blessings to you!
I cannot fathom how devastating that time was, but it is so great that you are alive and healthy and able to put the past in the past and move on.
Enjoy the day!

I am glad that you had such a great birthday and were able to push aside any bad connotations of the day with some new beads :o)
I hope you have many, many more wonderful birthdays!
Happy Birthday! A little late. We too feel a sense of relief that as of now there are no gulf hurricaines. Even here, in our little West TX city we prepare for bad weather and more importantly evacuees. How nice to have a hurricane free birthday! And warm wishes for many more.
Can't wait to see what you do with all your newly acquired goodies! Good luck! Have fun! And happy belated birthday!
Mmmm, those beads look like a great b'day present!
