There Was Desire
All of sudden I had such an urge to bead. This design for a bead embroidered collar has been playing out in my mind for some time. The pieces I have gathered over the last couple of years. I am going to have to do my research again and found out what the name of this stone is. Coin pearls throughout, I hope will bring out the matrix in the stone. The paper I am using to bead embroider on is e'tal. It is no longer being manufactured. It is paper with metal fibers. When I run out that will be it. Sad....Sad...Sad. I will have to find another type of paper that won't need preparation before beading on. Painting or coloring fabric is to much for me.
This desire to bead means I am starting feel more like me after surgey. I went for my six wk. check up Friday morning. I have no restrictions now. One rule if it hurts stop doing it. I still have to wear the binder when walking or doing chores. But that is small price to pay. My sleep schedule is backwards. I spend most of time beading between the hours of 11:00 am to 3:00 am. Thanks for stopping by and have a beadiful day!

Oh Bev...that is gonna be awesome!
My favorite colors. If you need Etal paper I have it...more than we'll use in our lifetime I'm sure.
I think that stone is called
Impression Jasper, I have a strand that looks a lesser quality that what you have and that is what the label says. The coin pearls are perfect!
One sheet of e'tal paper for the holidays each year would be great!!
Thanks for identifying the stone. That's the one!!
I have a friend who bought out a supplier of that paper and is selling it...would you like her email?
Bev I am glad you are feeling better - that is what is important. This collar is going to be amazing I can tell already and I can't wait to see the finished product! I love the color and the main stones are lovely.
See you have inspired me to do something new - I have been in a beading slump for awhile now, time to get moving again.
Great start to ehat I'm sure will be a beautiful piece Bev. I did a web search on e'tal and came up with several quilt and scrapbooking sites that carry it. Couldn't have you being without your favorite embroidery backing!
Thanks beadbabe49. I bought quite a bit when I heard they were going out of business. It is my favorite for bead embroidery.
Thanks Jean! I have beaders block for the last 6 weeks. During Gastav I started gathering the beads together. I thought about this piece for weeks before I actually started it. Now I have to make sure I finish it.

I stay up late at night too!
