Senseless Vandalism

Due to the senseless vandalism that happened sometime between 1:30 - 6:00 am at our apartment complex there will be no swimming or using the laundry room this weekend. (I am glad we got our laundry done on Friday). Which is really a shame seeing how the heat index is 102 degrees today. It looks like someone had a tea party at the bottom of the pool with the chairs and table sitting in the deep end. All this happened right out side of my apartment and I never heard a thing. It really makes me sad with the nice amenities our apartment complex offers to see others treat it with such disregard.

Back Online

The new computer is online along with internet connection and email. Now the work begins updating and re-installing software. So far so good.

Wish Me Luck

This morning I am backing up my files. Turning off the dino-bot. The rest of the day will be spent installing a new to me Gateway desktop and programs. Wish me luck. I hope it all goes smoothly.

You Need to See

If your going to bead you need to see. The right eye glass prescription makes all the difference in the world when you are trying to see those tiny beads. Take care to choose a good Ophthalmologist(Eye M.D.s) who specialize in eye and vision care. I found out that sun damage to the eyes is linked to Macular Degeneration and cataracts. The Dr. who did my exam was very thorough. I am now sporting transition and progressive lenses and I can see those beads!! I couldn't pass up the bling. The frames are bronze with tiny crystals accents. Be good to your eyes. Get them checked once a year.

Dandelion and Dragonflies

Dandelion Bead by Humblebeads Is the perfect match for this Dragonfly necklace A bevy of Dragonflies. I think I have made enough for now. This morning I had a cup of Chrysanthemum tea. More Treasures from the Sea

While working on the Treasures from the Sea bracelet I got side tracked by the other larger Sea Things cabochon. I could envision this larger cabochon surrounded with pearls and netting. I could see tiny crystal sequins peeking out of the netting like droplets of water. Brass chain and a Vintaj toggle complete the design. I am happy to announce "Treasures from the Sea" will be one of next year's Bead Cruise projects.

Finding Treasures From the Sea

I am making progress on Glimpse of the Seas. Many pearly treasures are surrounding the Sea Things cabochon. It's going to make a wonderful cuff bracelet when done. I have stretched my creativity process with netting around the pearls to create an illusion of being caught in a net. It's Monday and the beads are calling my name.

New To Me

I don't usually pick things up sitting by the dumpster but the other day I was walking Cricket and saw a new computer desk just sitting there. Cricket and I walked back to the house and I got Art to get his opinion on this find. Next thing I knew I was spending the day cleaning out my old computer desk and getting ready to exchange desks. This new desk is simple, takes up less space and gives me more room in my bead room. There won't be any more beads in my keyboard. I have set up a small table to bead on that fits right next to desk. There is more I need to do to get my room back in shape. I will be doing it a little bit a time. I working on a bead project that needs to finished very soon. I have been very quiet of late and there has been a reason for it. I am not going to go into details. Instead I will leave a word of advise. If you are taking blood pressure medication or any kind of medication and your doctor changes it beware of the side effects. Read the warning sheet that comes with your prescription. Be informed and let those around you know what to watch for.
