Bead Tube Tower

I am always on a quest for a better way to store my seed beads. I think I found it with the new Bead Tower Storage by Bead Smith. I bought mine from Cindy's Crafts. Of course I no longer have 3 & 6 tubes. I traded them for flip-top containers when I bought my bead pavilions. They look great filled with beads but I found it hard to access my beads with the pavilions stored back to back on a shelf. Traveling with this kind of storage system is out of the question. I will be saving my money for more. I think these things are better than sliced cheese! Without further a-do a video showing you the Bead Tower Storage.

Excuse my frog. I spent the better part of the night at a neighborhood watch block party, outside in 40 degree temperatures. P.S. If you have seed beads tubes you would like to recycle I would gladly pay postage to take them off your hands.

Turn Left

I pulled out the flip-flops and off we went to enjoy our first warm day in along time. We drove west through country roads crossing over the Luling Bridge. We could see the smoke from a marsh fire burning out of control to the north. The air was still and the waters mirrored this tree's image. Bright red foliage lite up the moss hanging from the trees as we passed by the marsh. I call this swamp land. I love to bird watch as we drive by. I really wanted to take pictures of the wildlife but that man of mine drives too fast and stopping to take a photo isn't an option. It takes a woman with a steady hand to shoot a picture at 35 mph. Lucky for me there was road construction that brought us to a stop while I snapped this shot. Swampland color palette courtesy of Photoshop.

What another Dragonfly?

On Bead Cruise 2010 Melanie Brooks of Earthenwood Studio gave a demo using Vintaj brass to wrap one of her beautiful cabochons. She made something that I thought was difficult seem so simple that I had to give it a try. I am very pleased with how my piece turned out. I have been a fan of Melanie's work for a very long time. I have enjoyed using her Art pieces in previous Bead Cruise projects.

Spring Brings Dragonflies

It was exciting to see two finished dragonflies after the class. Terry and Lissa were wearing their dragonflies before the end of the cruise. Heather made special Humblebeads for this color combination.
The chain and clasp were purchased from BelloModo Check out our bead cruise sponsors at BeadCruise.com.
There are a few kits left that will be making their way to my etsy shop in the future. 2 Teals, a Purple and a Blue. The kits will come complete with a spiral bound booklet.
Now I have two things left to get done on my list and my deadlines will be complete. I wondering how much beading I can get done during the Super Bowl. Ha! probably not much with the nailing biting that will be taking place.

***Note I do not receive any monetary gain from promoting Humblebeads and bead cruise sponsors***
