I pulled out the flip-flops and off we went to enjoy our first warm day in along time. We drove west through country roads crossing over the
Luling Bridge. We could see the smoke from a marsh fire burning out of control to the north.

The air was still and the waters mirrored this tree's image.

Bright red foliage lite up the moss hanging from the trees as we passed by the marsh. I call this swamp land. I love to bird watch as we drive by. I really wanted to take pictures of the wildlife but that man of mine drives too fast and stopping to take a photo isn't an option. It takes a woman with a steady hand to shoot a picture at 35 mph. Lucky for me there was road construction that brought us to a stop while I snapped this shot.
