Turn Left

I pulled out the flip-flops and off we went to enjoy our first warm day in along time. We drove west through country roads crossing over the Luling Bridge. We could see the smoke from a marsh fire burning out of control to the north. The air was still and the waters mirrored this tree's image. Bright red foliage lite up the moss hanging from the trees as we passed by the marsh. I call this swamp land. I love to bird watch as we drive by. I really wanted to take pictures of the wildlife but that man of mine drives too fast and stopping to take a photo isn't an option. It takes a woman with a steady hand to shoot a picture at 35 mph. Lucky for me there was road construction that brought us to a stop while I snapped this shot. Swampland color palette courtesy of Photoshop.

I am calling it a "warm morning" here. It is 2°C! LOL
It will be a bit before I consider wearing flip flops...
Love the swamp photo!

Renate 2°C is too cold for me!
I would need winter boots and a fleece coat. It was 18°C this afternoon with lots of sunshine.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fantastic colour palette! It's good to get out for a drive. We've had a couple of warm days. Now we are set for snow tomorrow. Crazy weather.

Oh sunshine and warmth how wonderful does that sound. Well actually it is sunny here in NJ but still snow on the ground. I love that color palette - would like to make something with that once I get finished with the PINK!!!!!!!!!

Jean I love the pink you working with! Thanks for stopping by.

I had flip flops on over the weekend in Detroit! Of course, I was wearing my toe socks and wouldn't have gone outside in them.

Brrrr. Your pictures make me think of spring.

Uh-Bev-that's the Hale Boggs Bridge (aka Luling Bridge).

You and Art should'a stopped by!

Jane where is the Sunshine bridge? Boy was I confused! Good thing I wasn't driving. We should have stopped.

Hi lost little girl, the Sunshine Bridge crosses from Donaldsonville on the Westbank over to the Eastbank around Sorrento or Gonzales. There is another one between the Luling bridge and the Sunshine-it's the Grammercy bridge that crosses from Lucy on the Westbank to Grammercy on the Eastbank.

I can tell we've got some real exploring to do!

Jane see what happens when they only let me out to bead. I can find my way home I just don't know where I was at or how I got there!

Love the color palette. I took a close look on my way to work and saw those very colors-they'd be splendid worked up into something 'very Bevvie'. It's nice to see that beautiful red/coral blooming accent amid the moss, sky and trees! Love it!
